Overview
ABOUT THE COURSE
The basis of this course is that we aren’t just simply doing a project breakdown of an already-made track. We build the track together, completely from scratch so that you can learn in the most effective and practical way.
- We provide you with all the samples and presets used throughout the course
- Together we build the initial 16 bar loop idea
- We then take the loop through to full arrangement using a reference track as a template
- We then add detail and final touches ready to mix and master
- And finally, we mix and master the track together, ready for release

Starting with the samples we provide we build an initial 16 bar loop with drums and melodic elements.
Using the loop from part 1 we turn our idea into a full track with an intro, drop, breakdown, climax and outro.
Using stock Ableton effects we polish the mixdown, getting it sounding as professional as possible and then move on to a basic mastering chain.
Finally we provide the finished project file so that you can see first hand how it was built, compare to your own project file, reverse engineer and learn as much as possible.
